The El Paso-Gridley High School Boys and Girls Track teams both won team titles at the Prairie Central Invitational Saturday. It was the first time EPG had ever won this meet, boys or girls. The boys outscored Prairie Central 36-10 in the last three events to win 119-115. The girls went ahead 71-47 after the field events and beat
Prairie Central 143-129.

Gabe McKinley (100 and Long Jump) and Michelle Bigger (Long Jump and Triple Jump) were double-winners.  Jon Hasty won the 200 and Gracie Feeney won the 300 Hurdles. Both 4 x 100 Relays won in EPG record time.  The girls team of Gracie Feeney, Michelle Bigger, Maddie Morrison, and Kaylynn Schlipf was timed in 52.2, the fastest time since 1985. The boys team of Gabe McKinley, Mitchell Endress, Dustyn Brown, and Jon Hasty had a 45.4 time, apparently the fastest since 1978.  The boys and girls also each had five second places. Also winning were the girls Frosh-Soph 4 x 400 relay of Feeney, Kalli Meinhold, Aubrey Staton, and Morrison; the boys Frosh-Soph 4 x 400 of Brendan Loftus, Andy Layden, Tyler Dawson, and Ludy; and the boys Varsity 4 x 400 of Lukas Kiefer, Ryan Filkins, Alec Ihlenfeldt, and Hunter Cobbley. The last relay clinched the win for the boys. Race of the day came in the Co-ed Class Relay, when Adam Ludy made up 125 yards on the 800 anchor leg to nip Heyworth at the finish line for the win. His time of 2:05.5 was a personal best by four seconds. Others on this relay of freshman and junior girls and sophomore and senior boys were Sarah Schug, Taylor Rarick, and Ryan Skare.
