In the regular February board meeting, school board members approved the re-employment list for all current teaching staff at El Paso Gridley. This is a strong show of support for our staff. Because our district has been mindful in their fiscal responsibilities, we believe that we will be able to weather the state financial troubles while other districts around us are reducing programs and people. The Board of Education wanted from me a Three Year Plan that included observations after the first year on the job as well as recommendations for improving the district. They wanted to see what the possibilities are for our district along with how those improvements would affect our financial picture. The Three Year Plan and the financial projections are available on the link above. The Board of Education did not accept all the recommendations. They felt like we should move only toward levels A and B in the report. This is the direction that the district will now move. As superintendent I appreciate the effort, planning, and thought that our district has put into this process. Staff members, administrators, community members, parents, and students have contributed in the overall development of this plan.
We realize that our strength is in our people. It takes dedicated and proud staff members, motivated and eager students, and engaged parents for us to succeed--TOGETHER!
